5-day retreat & transformational training
in the Netherlands
☼ Co-creating earth-honoring, ecstatic culture ☼

Do you sense something magnificent beneath the surface of reality, and do you feel it growing despite all the negative trends?
Have there been times you remember an ancient way of being that sings in your bones?
Have you had visions of your tribe, deeply embedded in nature?
Do you want to unleash more of your passion?

If the answer is yes, Wild Earth Wild Soul is such an experience. Together, we learn:
- to be on the leading edge of cultural change;
- to embody a new level of kinship with the natural world;
- to live in a sacred manner and feel love, power, and aliveness;
- to know the blessings from our ancestors and the gratitude of our descendants.

With the guidance of Bill Pfeiffer (USA) and the facilitation team, join an adventurous community rediscovering a nature-based culture in a new way for new times. Based on Bill's widely acclaimed book, Wild Earth, Wild Soul, this retreat is a launching pad for passing on best practices to future generations and a roadmap for taking heart-based leadership.

The Wild Earth Wild Soul training is an opportunity to create a new story and be absorbed into something larger. Picture yourself returning to something that feels alive and strangely familiar. A primordial place that awakens gradually in your body...

This is where we slow our pace and build a tribe where each of us feels seen and heard. The smell of herbs, the fire at night and stars overhead remind us that beyond the rush and chaos of modern life there is a forgotten territory where we may seek guidance, healing and wisdom. Through soul-stirring, life-affirming processes we begin to remember who we really are.

As we awaken our wildness we begin to learn what it means to be indigenous to place. We then naturally emphasize our mutual relationship with all aspects of life pulsating around us. To re-experience the wild also implies a waking up of our inherent spontaneity and natural strength, a freeing up of the playful wonder we each had as children and that still lives inside us.

There is also space to feel pain and grief - personal and collective - as we learn how to navigate chaotic times. As the days unfold, a rich sense of connection grows. When we play, tell stories, sing, dance, make art and ceremony, commune with the elements, the birds and plants, we remember a way of life that speaks to the deepest parts of our being. Even when things are "off", or it’s raining, we are aware that the tribe and land holds us and always has.

Towards the end of the retreat you are supported in bringing your gifts into the world. You will return to "real life" with tools to live in a more sustained, joyful, balanced way.

A few of the things you will learn:
1) Greater rootedness in the present moment.
2) What the medicine of nature really means.
3) Better listening skills.
4) Improving your meditation practice or creating the basis for one.
5) Improving your ability to journey shamanically or learn how.
6) Deeper appreciation for the beauty and essence of other humans.
7) New movements, dances, and songs to bring home.

Wild Earth, Wild Soul is also a call to community beyond the time of the retreat. It’s an invitation to help each other step out of the unconscious busyness of modern life. To stand together stronger, to see the beauty of each other in our tenderness and grief, our warmth and despair. To learn new songs of the land while remembering and passing on the knowledge of an unbreakable relationship with All Our Relations. A place where creative solutions to intractable problems are born...

Our training venue is in the beautiful woodlands of the Dutch province Drenthe, with nearby megalithic dolmens or ‘hunebedden’ that were built around 3500 BC. In this European edition of Wild Earth Wild Soul we take time to explore our European aboriginal roots, heal collective wounds, and re-light the fire that will take the ancient into the future. From the outset you are taking part in a training based on indigenous principles.

The retreat includes:
- nature immersion and soul craft;
- ceremonies rooted in Native American & Siberian shamanic traditions;
- exploring your leadership and learning co-creation skills, tapping into sacred feminine & sacred masculine qualities;
- play, (ecstatic) dancing, singing, art and poetry,…
- meditation;
- delicious, healthy meals;
- and more…
We make sure to leave plenty of open space and invite you to share your gifts with the group.

BILL PFEIFFER aka «Sky Otter» is the founder of Sacred Earth Network which has been implementing leading edge visions for almost 25 years. In that time, Bill made Russia a "second home" having traveled there 44 times - giving him a rare cross-cultural perspective. He has also led hundreds of spiritual ecology workshops, including men’s and breath work. He has 28 years of experience in Re-evaluation Counseling and Vipassana meditation, and has undergone extensive training with Siberian shamans as well as with Joanna Macy and John Perkins. He has also spent much time in the US Southwest learning about Native medicine ways and the crucial importance of the petroglyphs and pictographs. Bill, originally from New York City, has been living in the forests of Massachusetts and Vermont for over 25 years.

LÉON BECKX has a professional background as psychologist and is lead-trainer of Diversity Joy, an NGO offering training programs on community development and conflict resolution. He has worked in schools, universities, asylum seeker centers, theaters and deprived neighborhoods, helping others to become facilitators. Léon also works as conscious dance teacher: he was certified as a 5Rhythms teacher in 2008 and expanded his dance practice since with Somatics, Contact Improvisation, Instant Composition, martial arts and theater. His experience as ceremony leader of Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam along with nature immersion in Sweden (2014-2016) have shown him that the seeds of eco-ecstatic culture are germinating. You can read more about Léon here:

SARA EENHOORN is an experienced outdoor guide, working for Otro Elements and Nature Quest. “After high school, my biggest question was: who am I? I learned a lot at school, but little about who I was. This question raised a deep desire for traveling in me and that is also what I started doing. While traveling, I came across my biggest dreams, while I also encountered fears and insecurities. Traveling to me means freedom and spirituality. Wild Earth, Wild soul embodies all of this for me. In a short time you journey back to yourself and your roots, while in the meantime you learn to play with reality as is unfolding here and now. Playfulness and having fun are key to me. During the retreat, I will share my knowledge of systemic observation with you, in addition to body work, and I will gladly take you on an adventure into the Dutch wilderness”.

PETER LUIJTEN took part in Bill’s Wild Earth Intensive in the US: “to me it was both deeply transformational and full of joy”. Peter worked as consultant and policy officer for EU education programs. He is an experienced group facilitator. In this role he has been volunteering to the Center for Human Emergence, a global community of societal innovators. Peter loves (ecstatic) dancing and DJ-ing, as well as long walks in the forest. He has been trained as shamanic practitioner, following the Siberian tradition. Central thread in all of this is ‘re-membering’ ancient knowhow: there is a lot of healing as well as joy to be found when we wake up the primal - or indigenous - parts of ourselves.
